The Delaware Duo
 Kal and Cassie

Kal, the male, may be about ten or so.  He has a great disposition - very sweet, friendly and cooperative and gets along fine with my other dogs.  He is a little slow moving because of his size, but he does jump up and down on his front feet in anticipation at mealtime!  We took him to the vet for a much needed teeth cleaning and they are now nice and shiney.  He is a very funny howler.  It is not loud or obnoxious at all, but he howls for a little when you leave his presence or when Callie is gone.  It is actually very cute.

Callie has now been adopted!

Callie is friendly and has done very well visiting a friend with two female Pems. She does have some "issues" and needs to have an experienced dog person for an owner. Callie had a bladder infection when she arrived and filthy teeth, too.  She has been on antibiotics to clear up the infection.  She just had an xray that showed a bladder stone and will be scheduled for surgery soon and will have her teeth cleaned at the same time.  She is quite attached to Kal and would like to have a home with him too.

These two came to us very overweight after their owner died.  Apparently they had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, among other things!  We couldn't weigh them to see how much they actually weighed for quite some time, but now they have lost some weight and Kal is down to a mere 50 pounds!  He has a lot of spare skin.
